Bianchi Aria E-Road
Bianchi Aria E-Road 105 Di2 (2024)
Pure aero speed with a stealth boost — now ready for South Australia’s signature climbs
Carve Up Willunga, Norton Summit and the Coast to Vines
The Aria E-Road’s 250 W Mahle X35+ rear-hub motor adds just enough assistance to flatten the ramp up Old Willunga Hill or punch through Adelaide’s coastal headwinds, yet the bike still feels like a true race machine when the power’s off. At about 12.5 kg complete, you’ll flick through the Esses on Gorge Road or descend Greenhill with the same poise you expect from a conventional carbon aero bike.
Why it shines on SA tarmac
Feature | |
---|---|
Aero carbon frameset (47 – 61 cm) | Cuts through the Gulf St Vincent seabreeze and shaves seconds on the Murray Bridge road races. |
Mahle X35+ 250 Wh system (40 Nm) | Silent, natural assist for the final pinch up Lofty; removable rear wheel means easy servicing on race day. Bianchi |
Shimano 105 Di2 12-speed & hydraulic discs | Lightning-fast electronic shifts on the Black Top segments; confident braking on Piccadilly’s wet hairpins. |
Vision Trimax wheels & 28 mm Vittoria Rubino Pro tyres | Durable enough for the Southern Expressway shoulder, supple enough for the Kersbrook chip-seal. |
iWOC One top-tube controller + BLE/ANT+ app | Dial in assist or check battery before rolling out for a Barossa century. |
